Peter and Jennifer had a short first experience together.  Not too long after they met, they were separated by life.  He flew off to Iraq to serve for this country and she went the opposite direction to Japan.  You really can’t get much further than that.

Well, distance was nothing for these two.  Even after two tours in Iraq and a long distance apart, they still made it past and found each other again.   Even school challenges couldn’t get in the way as we saw on the wedding day.  Jennifer had an exam the day before the wedding and another final exam 2 days after the wedding.  Some brides stress about their wedding day.  Can you imagine what it is like to have 2 exams and wedding?  What a trooper.

The wedding went off without a hitch in the outdoor setting of the Sesnon house in Aptos.  The theme of the wedding worked around Jennifer’s connections with the berry world.  She had fresh berries around the cake and berry jams as wedding favors for all the guests.  My mouth waters just thinking back to the day.

To get away for a short period, we raced over with the couple and the Maid of Honor down to the beach to get in some photos.  So much for “getting away”! We found ourselves surrounded completely by thousands of people.  It was perfect beach weather and everyone else thoughts so too.  However, a quick eye from the top of the cliff spotted an unmanned pop up tent block parting of the oceanfront.  We raced over and to our surprise had a little nook of the beach to ourselves as we snapped some photos.
